摘　　要

　　Taichung Sen No. 5 is a Indica type of rice developed in Taichung District Agricultural Improvement Station by crossing Kaohsiung Sen Yu 12 (female parent) with IR 22 (male parent). It was named and released in 1977. Its main agronomic characteristics yield performance, rice quality, pests-resistance and cold tolerance are respectively shown in Table 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
