本研究探討保健植物山防風水萃物冷凍乾燥粉末在體外免疫調節之活性， 試驗結果發現 山防風樣本濃度在 400 µg/mL 以下時，能夠直接活化小鼠巨噬細胞株 RAW 264.7 產生一氧化氮 (NO) 與腫瘤壞死因子 (TNF-α )，且皆 具有劑量效應，此外亦能顯著 ( P <0.05 ) 提高處理後的小鼠脾細胞之細胞干擾素 (IFN- g ) 分泌量。由體外試驗結果發現山防風之水萃物中具有免疫調節功能之物質，深具醫藥治療之研究潛力。

　　 The objective of this study was to evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of the freeze-dried powder obtained from the water extract of Chinese medicinal plant Echinops grijsii . In vitro immunomodulatory experiments showed that E. grijsii (0-400 µg/mL) stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages to produce NO and secrete TNF- a in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, E. grijsii significantly (P< 0.05) promoted the IFN- g secretion of mouse splenocytes. The results showed that the water extract of E. grijsii had immunomodulatory functions as well as potentials in related medicinal applications.
