本研究的主要目的在分析臺灣地區甜柿之產銷現況、生產成本與收益以及市場潛力。為達此目的，本研究除蒐集次級資料外，另設計產銷及成本、收益調查表，於甜柿產區抽樣調查 130 戶農戶。研究結果顯示，目前臺灣甜柿產業面臨如下問題： ( 一 ) 生產成本高、單位面積產量低； ( 二 ) 病蟲害嚴重； ( 三 ) 面臨國內外競爭壓力； ( 四 ) 生產技術有待改進； ( 五 ) 產品不耐儲藏。而且，目前臺灣甜柿收穫面積約 1,348 ha ，種植面積卻已達 2,142 ha ，未來隨著樹齡與收穫面積的增加，產量勢必大增，同時，進口業者逐步累積經驗並建立進口與行銷通路，加以我國逐漸調降關稅與開放市場，未來甜柿產業將面臨更大的壓力。為使甜柿產業能永續經營，建議採行措施： ( 一 ) 適地適種； ( 二 ) 加強栽培管理； ( 三 ) 加強採後處理； ( 四 ) 加強國外產銷資訊收集； ( 五 ) 積極導入企業化經營管理； ( 六 ) 籌組策略聯盟； ( 七 ) 加強宣傳廣告並教育消費者 。

The main objectives of this project are to analyze the current situation of production and marketing, the production cost and revenue, and the market potential for the persimmons. In order to reach these objectives, besides the collection of secondary data, a questionnaire of the production and marketing, and the production cost and revenue for the persimmons had been designed. About 130 farmers were surveyed. The result indicated that there are several problems in the persimmon production: 1. The high production cost and low production yield per unit area. 2. Serious disease and insect. 3. Facing the competitive pressure from inside and outside of the country. 4. The production technique need to be improved. 5. The storage time of products is not long enough. The present persimmon harvested area is 1,348 ha, but the planted area has been 2,142 ha, the yield of persimmon will be largely increased as the trees reached maturity stage. The persimmon production in Taiwan not only facing the problem of importing products, but also have the competition pressure from own industry with different sector of agricultural industry. In the future, the general quality of persimmon will be no competition, it must be through the enhancement of fruit quality and reduce the production cost to increase the development potential. The following recommendations are suggested for persimmon sustainable production in Taiwan: 1.To be planted at suitable location. 2. Strengthening the cultural practice. 3. Adopting post-harvest handling. 4. Collecting production and marketing information of foreign countries. 5. Introducing industrialization management. 6. Organizing strategic alliance by persimmon farmers. 7. Strengthening promotion of persimmon and education of consumer.
