水稻穀粒外部性狀與白堊質相關之研究

摘 要
水 稻 穀 粒 千 粒 重 與 粒 寬 呈 極 顯 著 正 相 關 , 為 增 加 水 稻 穀 粒 千 粒 重 , 可 藉 改 良 品 種 增 加 其 粒 寬 而 達 成 。 但 粒 寬 與 腹 白 米 粒 率 呈 極 顯 著 正 相 關 , 梗 稻 品 種 粒 寬 超 過 3.4 厘 米 以 上 或 秈 稻 品 種 粒 寬 超 過 3.1 厘 米 以 上 , 其 腹 白 米 粒 率 均 達 25% 以 上 。 粒 寬 超 過 3.1 厘 米 之 秈 稻 , 其 腹 白 及 心 白 之 發 生 率 顯 著 比 梗 稻 為 高 。 梗 稻 之 粒 厚 與 心 白 或 腹 白 發 生 率 呈 不 顯 著 相 關 ; 秈 稻 粒 厚 與 心 白 發 生 率 亦 不 顯 著 相 關 , 但 與 腹 白 發 生 率 呈 極 顯 著 的 正 相 關 。 豐 產 而 良 質 之 新 品 種 梗 稻 粒 寬 以 不 超 過 3.4 厘 米 , 秈 稻 以 不 超 過 3.1 厘 米 ; 秈 稻 粒 厚 以 不 超 過 2.1 厘 米 為 佳 。
Study on the Relationship between the Morphological Characteristics of the Grain and Grain Chalkiness in Rice

Summary
Measuring the morphological grain characters of rice grain of 31 japonica and 31 indica varieties showed that one-thousand-grain-weight of rice were significantly correlated with grain width. Therefore, it is suggested that the grain weight of a variety could be increased by improving the grain width. However, the white belly of rice grain had a significany positive correlation with grain width. The dehulled grain generally showed more than 25% of white belly if the grain width were greater than 3.4 mm in japonica varieties and 3.1 mm in indica varieties. The rate of white belly and white center were markedlly higher in indica varieties than in japonica varieties when grain width was greater than 3.1 mm. The white belly and white center of rice grain both in japonica and white center of rice grain in indica rice had no significant correlation with grain thickness, but the white belly of indica rice grain had significant positive correlation with grain thickness. This suggested that for the development of high yielding and good quality of rice varieties, the grain width of the varieties should be less than 3.4 mm in japonica varieties and less than 3.1 mm in indica varieties. In addition, the grain thickness of the varieties should be less than 2.1 mm in indica varieties.
