Goal:

  1. To counseling managerial intervention of farmer’s organizations to increase farmer’s income.
  2. To individual case study of the management diagnosis for agricultural production and marketing groups to built up a agricultural model.
  3. To promote the agricultural product's quality by guiding the safety verification and promotion.
  4. To improve farmer's sales by guiding them to create the data of production costs and analyzing the numerical value of management.
  5. Introduce information technology to optimize the agricultural production environment.

 

Personnel:

3 researchers (3 at master's level), 1 research assistant, 1 assistant worker, 1 contracted technician, 4 planning assistants, 1 actual farming business labor contractor, and 1 resident information engineer.

 

Facilities and Equipments:

Ongoing Works:

research project

  1. Research on the adjustment of rice production and marketing guidance measures in the central region.
  2. Digital transformation guidance for small and medium-sized enterprises in Taichung District’s crops with export potential.
  3. Agricultural net-zero organization inventory and development strategy - taking the rice production area in the central region as an example.
  4. Development of technical teaching materials on digital agricultural machinery maintenance

 

Promotion of counseling work

  1. Provide counseling for the top 100 young farmers.
  2. Provide guidance on the operation of local youth farmer organizations.
  3. Provide business management training for young farmers.
  4. Provide guidance to actual farmers in applying for agricultural work certificates.
  5. Coach agricultural production and marketing classes to participate in the selection of the top ten outstanding production and marketing classes in the country.
  6. Guide farmers to participate in the selection of the top ten divine farmers and model farmers in the country.
  7. Provide guidance to farmer groups in organizing training and marketing management to move towards corporate management goals.
  8. Promote the development and guidance of regional agricultural management zones.
  9. Handle the information operation of Facebook, official website and Line@ push system of this event
  10. Provide guidance to farmer groups in conducting agricultural product evaluations and exhibition and sales promotion activities.

 

Future Research Prospect:

  1. Research on improving the management efficiency of farmers/green farmers.
  2. Research on the construction and application of agricultural information systems.

 

Recent Research Results:

1. Selection guidance for the 10 Shennong: As of 2023, a total of 19 Shennong and 26 model farmers have won awards.

2. Selection guidance for the top ten agricultural production and marketing classes: As of 2023, a total of 23 classes have won the top ten agricultural production and marketing classes in the country.

3. Selection guidance for the top 100 young farmers: As of 2023, a total of 113 top 100 young farmers have been selected.

4. Counseling for young farmers: As of 2023, a total of 63 local youth farmer associations have been established in the towns, with a total of 6,134 young farmers.

5. Counseling for actual farmers: As of 2023, a total of 1,334 consultations had been received, and a total of 251 certificates had been issued.

6. Information promotion business: As of 2023, the number of followers on the fan page has reached 34,000. line@ The big and small event promotion group has a total of 283 members.

7. Major policy briefings:

(1) 12 agricultural technology consultation symposiums were held in three counties and cities in Taichung, Changhua and Nantou in 2015, and were promoted in conjunction with the major policies of the Council of Agriculture at that time, including the "Free Economic Demonstration Zone - Agricultural Value Added Instructions" and the "ECFA Goods Trade Instructions" A total of 937 farmers participated.

(2) In order to organize the 6th "National Agricultural Conference" in 2018, the Committee of Agriculture held 18 "local grassroots meetings" across the country to solicit opinions from all parties and collect relevant issues. Among them, the 11th grassroots meeting was held here.

(3) In 2019, we cooperated with the Committee of Agriculture to organize 9 "Caring for Farmers - Farmers' Welfare and Pension System Symposiums", with a total of 2,269 participants. Through the symposium, we explained the farmers' welfare system and insurance and subsidies for small agricultural machinery, etc. to benefit farmers. policy.

(4) In conjunction with the Farmers’ Insurance Policy of the Committee of Agriculture, 4 “Farmers’ Welfare Symposiums” were held in 2020, with a total of 1,166 participants, to promote farmers’ retirement savings policies, agricultural insurance, agricultural occupational disaster insurance and other benefits Peasant policies.(5) In 2023, 3 local symposiums on "Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, Upgrading and Progress" were held in conjunction with the presentation of policy performance results before the Council of Agriculture's upgrade, with a total of 379 young farmers participating.
