摘　　要

　　If the rice Straw can lce cut into about 30 cm in length, it can be easily applied to the paddy field by machinery and thus the organic matter content of the field may be geatly increased, According to the previous reports, rice straw has mang advantages. It may release a lot of potassium and phorphorus on the soils. Besides it can improve the physical and bialogical properties of the soils, under the continuous application of rice straw, the soil fertility of the field may be largely promoted. This is the major motive that encourage us to develop this straw Cutter and Spreader for attching on the tractor, the straw cutter cuts the straw by intermittent Contest of a rotary knife and knife fitter, for dry Straw, more than 73.36%, of straw can be cut into less than 30 cm in length, however, for fresh straw it may reach to 82.64%. After the Cutting, the straw are short enough for being easily applied to the frild. Some improvement is necessary, since some of the straw will bincl the sotuy bar to interfere the smooth operation.
